You’ll also spend time exploring the coast, developing your coasteering skills and building campfires for toasted marshmallows.

You’ll take part in conservation activities throughout your trip, including participating in a full day of service work, identifying key macroinvertebrate species in the area and learning about the importance of seaweed in carbon sequestering efforts. You’ll also have the chance to explore the island by boat during your sailing day, and learn about the fossils found on the island during the dinosaur walk.

This conservation project covers five core categories of learning:

  1. Sailing: learn about the marine environment by exploring it first-hand

  2. Garlic Farm Workshop: explore how society can viably feed a growing population whilst looking after wildlife at the same time.

  3. Dinosaur Walk: explore the coastline while learning about the history of fossils on the island

  4. Environmental Workshops: understand the role that ecology plays within the global system and learn about the SDGs

  5. Coasteering: learn, hands-on, about marine life, ocean pollution and coastal ecosystems

Our trips are designed to help you develop a wide range of life skills and a deeper understanding of how you can help us work towards achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. Learn more
