Join An Exciting Turtle Conservation Project In 2022
Turtle conservation is important not only to preserve those wonderful animals, but to help maintain the natural balance of the marine ecosystem. They play an important part in their environment and have a positive impact on many other species.
Turtles are magical creatures which, like many species, are sadly at risk of being endangered. As of 2021, nearly all species of sea turtle are classified as endangered; three of the seven existing species are now considered to be critically endangered.
One of the most at risk is the hawksbill turtle, which is estimated to have a population ranging from only 57,000 to 83,000 individuals worldwide.
Help to save turtles with our sustainable travel trips.
Flooglebinder has many exciting turtle conservation projects for adventurous travellers, including those based in Nicaragua. Marine conservation and management are some of our top priorities and we have many trips which focus on these areas.
We also focus on turtle conservation during our Greece Programme which includes relocating turtle eggs to safe locations, keeping beaches clean, and collecting information on harbour monitoring projects.
Both Greece and Nicaragua are exceptionally beautiful places, with our trips enabling you to partake in a range of activities. We’re committed to organising travel trips which make a positive impact on wildlife, the environment and the communities that live in the countries we visit.
