Join One Of Our Turtle Conservation Projects In Greece
Want to participate in travel which makes a genuine difference?
Flooglebinder takes travellers to a range of locations all over the world. We enable you to take part in all sorts of exciting projects, including trips suitable for solo travellers, families, corporate groups, and schools.
Destinations include Greece where you can take part in our incredible turtle conservation projects. Whether you’re planning on studying marine biology or are interested in the lives of turtles, this is a wonderful opportunity for any traveller interested in wildlife. Work with loggerhead turtles in their natural environment.
Loggerhead turtles are currently classified as vulnerable on the IUCN red list, and it’s vital that we take action to protect these keystone species.
It’s also important that travellers realise their own impact on turtles’ habitat. This marine conservation adventure enables you to spend 11 days gaining hands-on experience in turtle conservation. You’ll also get to explore the beauty of Greece and learn about its culture.
Participants arrive in Athens and explore the Acropolis before visiting Olympia and Corinth Canal.
You get to take part in a wide range of activities to help turtles, including nest excavations and relocations, surveys and hatchling rescue. You’ll learn all about turtles: their physiology, behaviours, habitat, and the threats which face them.
One previous participant described this study tour as the ‘best experience I ever took part in’!
