Join Our Elephant Conservation Projects For An Incredible Experiences

At best, travelling gives you once-in-a-lifetime experience that permanently changes your perspective on the world.

One of the most amazing experiences you can have is connecting with the local wildlife in a country. In particular, this is a great way to help younger people develop a passion for protecting the environment, develop an interest in sustainability and learn the importance of conservation.

Our conservation trips at Flooglebinder include those to Sri Lanka, India and Thailand, where you get the opportunity to get involved with leading research institutions that help elephants.

The population of elephants in Asia has fallen drastically, and in Sri Lanka alone this has fallen by almost 65% since the turn of the 19th century. Fortunately, the Sri Lanka elephant is now protected by law, but there is still much more to be done.

The migration of these beautiful animals has a big impact on rural communities. During your time on our study trip, you’ll be learning about their behaviour, in-situ conservation techniques and the conflicts that arise between humans and elephants. You’ll also learn useful skills like how to use the software ArcGIS.

Participants will get to set up wildlife cameras, plant orange trees, hear lectures from the local wildlife scientists and enjoy a safari.

Flooglebinder is committed to helping travellers create incredible memories, while supporting the communities and wildlife they come into contact with. That includes working with schools and colleges to create unforgettable adventures. You can either choose one of our trips, or make your own with the help of our team.
