“This experience will be with me for the rest of my life. It’s always been my dream to go to South Africa and it was so much more than I ever dreamed. Truly incredible, I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to go by Flooglebinder and I will be forever grateful.”

We’re a B Corp
We wholeheartedly believe that business should be a force for good. To show our commitment to creating positive change through travel we joined the B Corp community back in 2016: we were the first travel B Corp in the UK and one of the first globally!
But we didn't do it to say 'we were first'. We did it because we know there is strength in community. The B Corp leaders share our ethos and the only way to drive change is together. The community shares our values and helps drive the emotion in everything we do: conscious, passionate and kind.

Each adventure we embark on teaches us something new; we’re forever learning. These are the findings and stories we want to share with you. They’re usually scribbled into a notebook whilst watching the sun go down in a remote part of the world before they’re written up for you to enjoy. We hope they’ll inspire and encourage you to join us on our next expedition.
Welcome back! We wanted to kick off this new term by sharing some exciting news with you...We have given our UK adventures an official name...meet ‘Flooglebinder Camps’!
There is a particular destination and project in our portfolio that is very special to us here at Flooglebinder. It was here, deep in the African bushveld that the Flooglebinder concept was born; where the dream to run conservation field trips for Animal Management students first became a reality and where we met our incredible project partner, who we still run trips with, year in, year out.
Big news folks! Our Curriculum Exploration Officer, Rob Wilson, has been working hard behind the scenes here at Flooglebinder on a project that we are incredibly proud of and super excited to announce! We are the first student travel company to offer the AQA Unit Award Scheme (UAS)!
Funding an international trip is no simple task, and for many, a three-week Marine Conservation adventure in Thailand or a Wildlife Expedition to Costa Rica may feel entirely unattainable. However, in reality, there are a multitude of grants, awards and bursaries available to fund educational and recreational trips both inside the UK and abroad.
In the Atlantic Ocean, 1,600 kilometres off the coast of Portugal, lies the Azores archipelago.
When I first heard about the Geography and Sustainability trip to Iceland I knew I had to go; how many opportunities will there be to ethically explore the ‘land of fire and ice’?
As a travel company, our journey through the world comes with a paradox – the carbon footprint left by travel emissions.
For my work experience I came to Greece to work with the turtle conservation project. I started in Athens and made my way over to Kefalonia to stay and work with the turtles.

The first half of our South African adventure saw us at a privately owned lodge, designed for travellers like us to immerse ourselves in the surrounding nature.

It goes without saying that the continent of Africa is home to some of the most fascinating wildlife on the planet. I (along with most of the world's population) have grown up watching the likes of Planet Earth. The experience you have as a visitor is vastly different, and in many ways, monumentally better.
Taking part in fundraising will not only help you gain the money you need for your upcoming trip but will also have a range of other benefits. The community involvement and support built will help create a sense of pride and ownership in the school.
The impact of travel on mental health in youth is vast and widespread. From building confidence and improving communication skills to learning new cultures and sampling new cuisines, travel at a young age provides a multitude of tools that will continue to benefit young people into adulthood and through life.
Greenwashing is a form of misleading marketing. It is a practice seen across many sectors including cosmetics, food, energy, tourism and fashion. Companies greenwash to make themselves seem more environmentally friendly for marketing purposes. They do this by providing misleading data regarding their environmental impact.
Hunter-gatherers travelled with the seasons, and people used natural services for all their needs. The change began with the age of agriculture 10,000 years ago when we began domesticating and ‘civilising’ nature. It is only within the most recent decades that the disconnection from nature took hold.
Aside from having an epic time exploring the beautiful St. David’s coastline in a boat, on land or jumping off rocks, the Wales programme has environmental conservation and sustainability at its heart.
It was incredible to feel that sense of adventure and do something scary but rewarding. I was reminded of my own strength and ability to grow from challenges, and ultimately, the experience brought me back to my passion for sustainable development.
